• 90% of the grapes were picked and pressed before the fires started in early October
• Fires burned primarily in the forested hillsides, not in the valleys. Fires burned only about 10% of the Napa and Sonoma Valley wine area
• Most of the restaurants and shops in Napa and Sonoma have fully re-opened
• Without a doubt, a number of areas and communities were affected by the wildfires, yet much remains untouched.
